Rooftop Picnic #2 + W2P birthday #2

Today, Juju and I decided to have a picnic on the roof. Again.

The menu:
pasta (with multicolored noodles)
steamed broccoli
parmesan knots
sweet tea
mini cupcake (for celebratory reasons)

We recently realized something very important.

We Two Pair is now two years old!

So we had to have celebrating, of course. Enter: the mini cupcake.

We had to go all Gallagher Girl again this year. Last year, we had to come up with a makeshift candle (and plus there was that whole carpet plus lit match thing). This year, we had to battle the wind to light the candle and keep it burning until it was time to blow it out.

We continued our tradition of singing Happy Birthday to us.

Since we like celebrating so much, and since a very important day is approaching (the release day of the fifth Gallagher Girls book!), we lit another candle and wished the girls from our favorite book series Happy Adventures. For some reason, we had difficulties getting this accomplished.

And of course, we celebrated in style.

Buuuut, we got to spend all day dressed up in proud Gallagher plaid!

Happy birthday to us!

Today we celebrated our blog's one year anniversary!

We couldn't find a birthday cake candle, so we just had to make do with what we had. This is us being all Gallagher Girl. For the record, caramel ice cream topping makes excellent glue.

Something to note: If a (lit) match somehow disappears, check behind you. Then act like you have no idea why there is a burnt spot in the carpet.

Time for celebration!

Book Character Love

Though I'm engaged, I think I'm still allowed to crush on book characters--especially when it's a hot spy guy. Because I like to not do homework, I made a valentine's card type of thing featuring me with Mr. Zachary Goode of the Gallagher Girls books by Ally Carter. (We totally love everything about Ally, and we frequently don plaid skirts.)

Juju and I agree that Drew Roy makes the most perfect Zach.

Now I should really go do homework. Or eat. Or sleep. Or something else that college kids do.

And if you've never read the Gallagher Girl books, you're totally missing out. Go buy them. Now.

Mad for Plaid

EEEEPP!!!!
i just found this in the drafts, guess JB wrote it and forgot to post it...
Juju and I have had an obsession with plaid skirts ever since reading the Gallagher Girl series by the wonderful and amazing Ally Carter. If you've never read the series, then go find the books IMMEDIATELY. There are currently four and the newest one, Only the Good Spy Young, was released three days ago.

The third book of the series, Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover, was released last year on Juju's birthday, so we had a double celebration! Along with our other best friend Rae, we dressed up as Gallagher Girls and proceeded to Barnes and Noble wearing our lovely plaid schoolgirl skirts.

words we read are things we need

i have made an executive decision ( although this has been discussed before amongst the two of us) to make an official announcement that we will be offering book reviews and receiving recommendations!!

i have a long list of to-reads, so this will give me an excuse to actually get around to reading them :-)

now i just have to find a place on the blog :-)

to start off will be the most recent release... the fourth book in the Gallagher Girls series, Only the Good Spy Young!!!
but i haven't read it yet, so JB will ave to give us a review first...
