iiiit's HAT WEEK again!!

so to start off another week dedicated to delightful toppers (now that it's finally cold enough to wear a hat without having your head melt off) here is what i wore for church tonight!

jb darling didn't wear her hat because she was a little discomobobulated (yes that's a real word)... she got rearended yesterday 8/  and ht week officially starts tomorrow!!! yay!!

so i have my "wonder woman" dress (it has that cool squiggy thing on the waist) and vintage gold gloves from before and a vintage pillbox!  hot pink no less :)  getting dressed i was running around looking for the hat pins but to no avail... so i just had to not move around a whole lot :)

i'll try to post some detail pictures later.

Cupcake day!

Cupcakes are my thing. I like making them, eating them, wearing them. They're just amazing, ok?

During hat week, I had the opportunity to wear my amazingnessful cupcake hat that my even more amazingnessful future husband bought me. I didn't have time to get a good pic, so you get a glorious picture taken in the bathroom.

Not only did I wear a cupcake, but I also made cupcakes. Bunches and bunches of them.

In all, I believe there were over 100 regular sized ones and probably about 60 mini ones. (mini cupcakes are my favorite!)

I made these for my future grandparents-in-law (Is that what you would call them?) as they celebrated their 50th anniversary. And yet again, I failed to take a picture, thus resulting in not so good photos. However, this is the end result.

I then played server.

I'm pretty excited because I have another cupcake project coming up. Not near as many, but it will still be fun!

Maybe I can make them without this happening to me this time.

sunday of HAtWEEK... finally

sunday morning i wore a vintage pillbox... sort of... yeah we'll just go with pillbox...   it's hand embroidered and super awesome... and hot pink :)

    and on sunday night i wore a vintage .....  well i'm not really sure what to call it..... but i got pictures!!! :)

well anyway, that's sunday and the end of hat week...

Berets and Beignets (aka 4th Day of Hat Week)

It was accidentally beret day! Juju and I both wore one today. And we didn't even call each other planning to be twins! You know what they say about great minds...

I borrowed my Grampa's camera (yes, my Grampa is cooler than me with his DSLR camera, ginormous Mac, and his brand new Macbook Pro) so we decided to play around with the settings, thus resulting in some funny lighting. Watching Grampa try to figure out what happened to his settings ought to be interesting.

There's something I have yet to announce to our little blog, but I suppose it's as good a time as any. 

I recently got ENGAGED!

Recent being two months ago, but still.

Day 3 of HAT WEEK!

How much fun is it to wear hats all week? Way fun, let me tell you. Especially when you're with your best friend!

Today's pictures were taken in the chapel on campus. Which explains the organ pipes in the background.

Because it is hat week, I simply must say something about Kate Middleton. You know. The girl who broke hearts around the world by accepting Prince William's proposal? Yeah. That one. But how adorable/pretty/gorgeous is she? And she has a fabulous hat collection.
