just another day...

yes well it is just another day...
and just the other day i wore this fun combo...

see that adorable top.. long story but i got it and 54 other vintage pieces, brand new tag'n all
 for... free.
no joke.
i know some people who knew this old lady who had a shop for year but hardly sold anything so the had a shop full of piles and piles of vintage... and she died and donated it all to the local church. well the poor Father didn't know what on earth to do with it so he said we could take any of it...
i almost passed out.

i'll post pics of my finds later!!

St. Green Day Part 2

As Juju said earlier: yes, we know we're a week late. But we're college kids. We're procrastinators. It's what we do.

She pretty much covered what we did on Leprechaun Day 2011, so I'm just adding the pictures of our photo shoot.

Oh, and isn't it a bit strange that one person should own two big green sparkly bows?

Things we learned:

1. Tree climbing is not for me.

2. Dandelions don't like me.

3. Sparkly hair accessories are the way to go. Always.

in other news....

so the other day i wore this cute lace dress i just got at goodwill ($4!)  and threw it with some of my other favorite pieces.
(skirt- stolen from sister :p, hat - Burlington, shoes - Haberdasherypin

& purse - vintage )

sorry the pictures are a little blurry... i didn't have my personal photographer with me ;)

Day O'St. Patrick

yes, yes i realize that this is about a week after the actual day but anyway late is (usually) better than never :)

a national day to wear green, such a fabulous idea, no?
well we think so... we even did a photo shoot to celebrate... (then again that's not saying much; we did a photo shoot to commemorate flicking pennies at each other and spinning in chairs...)
anyway... here are my halfway decent pictures of the day.  the ones of each other are on jb's big camera...
bestie darling???  ahem...   ;)

Update from JB: I added the photo shoot pictures! Find them here. :)

so here are mine, which, as you can see, have been subjected to extreme editing, a personal vice (or virtue, i'm not sure which :p )

dessert!!

later that day i went to get froyogo and their original tart was GREEN...
and at first i thought the lady had given me pistachio or something ..
it actually took me like 5 minutes to figure out why the yogurt was green
no joke

back track...

so um i think i/we skipped a day...
i have an outfit on my camera that i haven't uploaded...
so here they are... for whatever day they go to :)

[whatever day this was] i sported some of my favorite vintage finds
(love me some Goodwill ;)
the top has tiny white polka dots and fantastic ruffles, paired with a green and navy plaid A-line and topped with a (new) bow belt with just a little sparkle... lovely!
this shirt was popular.. i got several compliments :)
i love it.

whateverday i didn't have my personal photographer so i had to make do with timers and mirrors :)

and it actually did rain on day 5.... just later in the day
so i got to wear my bright sunny raincoat

you can see the rain coming down behind me...  it was REALLY coming down hard

Spinny Chairs (pattern mixing week day 5)

Spinning around and around and around and around and around in a spinny chair will make you very dizzy very fast. We know.

On day five of pattern mixing week it was supposed to rain. It did not. Juju wore Toms, so she must be smarter than Mr. Weatherman.

I figured that today was a perfect day for plaid, and the zebra boots were inevitable (you know, since there was supposed to be RAIN!). Juju went with floral and another unnameable pattern, but here's a close-up.

Baby carriage, shoe, tiger. It's like I Spy on a shirt. The tag probably has a list: find the horse; find the rabbit; find the blue gummy bear. Or maybe not.

Here are the two funniest pictures of the day.

We should really get some kind of award for making such awesome faces while falling off a chair. But our, we're-having-fun faces are pretty awesome too.

Pattern Mixers 4-ever

Ready for day four of our Patterns at Play week? Why do I bother asking, of course you do.

But first, an important question: Why hasn't Juju been blogging? Well darlings, my gorgeous BFF is currently having computer issues, thus the lack of her posting. BUT, she will soon be back and we will be double trouble!

Onto patterns, now? Okay.

Juju decided to rock gingham and red zebra print today.

I really ought to confess. The idea behind my outfit came from this outfit by Kristine. Or Polly. As soon as I saw the red stripes and polka dotted skirt, I knew I had to try it!

Enough patterns for the day. On to the new game we made up. Want to know how to play our new game? It's easy.

First, get some pennies.

Then, lie on your stomach on the floor...

... and flick pennies at each other.
